Good News For Railway Level-1 Candidates !!

Now 10th pass Youths will also get job opportunity in Railways. In order to provide employment opportunities in Railways to the 10th pass youth without diploma, the Railway Board has relaxed the minimum educational qualification criteria for recruitment to Level-1 posts. Level-1 was earlier called Group D. The board has recently changed its name to Level-1.

According to the new norms, now 10th pass candidates will be able to apply for Level-1 examination. ITI Diploma will no longer be mandatory for Level-1 job candidates. Earlier, to apply to technical departments, it was mandatory to pass class 10th along with National Apprenticeship Certificate or ITI diploma given by the National Council for Vocational Training . Candidates without NAC or ITI diploma could not apply. In a written message sent by the Railway Board to all the railway zones on January 2, it has been said that after reviewing the issue, it was decided to change the earlier instructions. The letter reads, the Board has decided that the minimum educational qualification for all future recruitments for Level-1 posts will be 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC. Level-1 posts include the posts of Assistant, Pointsman and Track Maintainer in various departments. Railway Recruitment Board has recently issued a notification for the recruitment of about 32 thousand candidates on Level-1 posts, for which the application process will run from 23 January to 22 February.
